They should be able to sell a DB tariff ticket. As it's an extension to an existing ticket this would be allowed. The DB tariff can be lower or higher than the Verbundtarif. Also they will probably add an extra fee of about 2 ("Bordpreis") for selling tickets on the train. But it won't hurt to...
Yes I think you can.
According to http://www.koelntourismus.de/willkommen/koelncard.html "... an allen Fahrscheinautomaten der Deutschen Bahn im gesamten VRS-Netz erhältlich." at all DB ticket machines in the VRS Area. (strangely this is not mentioned on the English version of that page)...
If you can read German there is a leaflet http://www.vrsinfo.de/fileadmin/Dateien/downloadcenter/VRS-VRR_Flyer_2014_neu.pdf . It can be found on http://www.vrsinfo.de/tickets/tickets-zu-nachbarverbuenden.html . And all the details are in the official tariff document...
Sorry but that's definitely wrong. If a VRS ticket is valid in Wuppertal, it's also valid on the Schwebebahn. (Schwebebahn is normal local transport and as such included in the VRR and VRS Verbundtarif). They even sell VRS tickets a the WSW ticket machines at the Schwebebahn stations (been...
These journeys are integrated in the VRR Verbundtarif (http://vrr.de/en/index.html). Düsseldorf-Venlo is price level E and the day ticket for 27.40 € seems to be the cheapest option - especially if you have the chance to add some more journeys before you head to Venlo (e.g. go to Wuppertal for...
The best thing for you might be a printed version of
http://kursbuch.bahn.de/hafas/kbview.exe/dn?rt=1&mainframe=IK_strecken
(click on it twice to see the details) - can be bought for 3€ at most DB ticket centers.
Otherwise might...
Yes, it's valid on most (but not all) railway services in Germany.
Unfortunately the details are a bit more complicated.
It is valid where the DB tariff is accepted (even if run by other companies like the Mittelrheinbahn Köln-Mainz). And it is valid where the "DB/NE Wechselverkehr" is...
Fancy a month of rail travel in Germany this summer?
New name, almost the same conditions:

Last possible day of validity: 31st August 2011.

Not necessary. I can confirm that the SchönerTagTicket is definitely valid on the Schwebebahn (as long as the ticket is valid at all - the STT is an off-peak ticket, not valid before 9am Mon-Fri).
While the Schwebebahn might look like a tourist attraction it is a genuine public transport...
Finally it's on DBs website http://www.bahn.de/p/view/angebot/preis/deutschlandpass.shtml
the DB shop https://fahrkarten.bahn.de/privatkunde/shop/shopstart.post?GroupId=1001
and the official "Beförderungsbedingungen"...
It might be of interest, that Deutsche Bahn offers an all-line-rover type of ticket this summer. It's not on their website yet, but there where some press releases, so it's sure.
Conditions: Valid up to one month, not before 14th June, last possible usage day 31th August. 2nd class only...
