I was talking to the paper shop owner in the bus station and he tells me that the council have not asked them to move to the new facility as there is not enough room - says it all, the new bus station will be far too small and the drapery will be bottle necked as a result.

Is it just me or does anybody think that the speed in which Stagecoach have scooped up the routes recently cancelled by First is a bit too much of a coincidence?.

I used the LYNX buses in the United States this year and you have to have the EXACT fare and you pay for your journey via a automatic ticket machine on entering the bus (the driver has no access to cash) or by a smart card which works the same way as a Oyster card does here in the UK, its a good...

And there is now a handwritten poster on Bay B which the service 4 used to use advising customers to use the Stagecoach 16/17, even the bay information has been removed. Looks like they want to leave the town without fuss, in less then a months time they can do that - a very sad way to end.

Looks like they have sorted it now, but what a mess though!.

The average journey time from Sunnyside to the Bus Station on the 16/17 is approx 10 - 15 mins then another 20 - 25 mins from the Bus Station to Ecton Brook, all depends on the time of day and also traffic. It's no where near a 3 hour round trip trust me!.

The 16/17 timetable frequency is still every 10 minutes from the Bus Station to Sunnyside but I wonder how much longer that will last as you often see 2 - 3 16/17's running behind each other going back to town from Kingsthorpe, I wonder if Stagecoach will divert either the 16 or 17 to serve...

It looks like a balls up then, so the 4 stays even though its listed as cancelled from tomorrow and the 4A is going even though there is a cancellation from the 14th September?, so if the 4A is going will this land First in trouble with VOSA as there will be no service on Acre Lane apart from...

Just had a look at the fourth coming First Northampton timetables and only the 2 and 4A are being listed for Monday to Friday and Saturday absolutely nothing for the 4 after today.

I have phoned Firstbus customer helpline but got fobbed off to contact the depot...which I did but no body likes to pick up their telephone.... By the way the County Council website now has no cancellation date for the service 4 which supposedly is operating its last day of service today, so...

Well time will tell tomorrow and Monday if there are First service 4 or 4A still doing their rounds, if these cancellations are wrong then somebody has got some serious explaining to do!.

Apparently the E200's are due for delivery before April 2014, presumably the end of the financial year?
