You perform the move, using the hand held radio to avoid conflicts with other movements and to hear any instructions from Designated Persons who control movements in Fuel Points and Maintenance Buildings (which you don't get buildings at my Depot, but you do at others). Also on your way there, while pulling your points and setting your road, listening on the handheld radio for broadcasts of other movements that are entering your end of the yard that might effect you. If the unit is going to service the next day you also prep it once its arrived on sidings. The prep procedure takes 20-30 minutes and involves testing brakes, doors, sanders, safety systems and a full walk around the outside of the units to check important componants below solebar level.
