    Bee Network Service/Route Discussion

Obviously a sign of things to come but all workings on 184 Oldham-Huddersfield at the moment are in the hands of electrics, I might be wrong but this is the first time that I know of that all 3 buses on the route have been electrics.

    Bee Network Service/Route Discussion

What are the Salford Small services? If its the ones run by Diamond out of Eccles I had a Diamond Driver the other week asking me online whether I had heard anything about them (Diamond Northwest) losing more work? It was news to me at the time but having read this it does seem that they might...

Free Bus Travel for young people: Soon to be in England.

While I'm a passenger not a driver myself I'd be interested in the outcome of the survey as I know that even before the scheme started some of the drivers at Oldham were definitely not looking forward to it and them giving the reasons why I could actually see where they were coming from...

East Yorkshire Motor Services, now part of Go-Ahead

Doors open when a bus has been idle for a while is normal as there's no air or electric getting to them to keep them closed, even on a modern vehicle after a while you can just push them open no problem what so ever.

    Wellglade Group

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't buses and drivers cabs allot cooler back in the day when drivers could/would drive with the doors open to offer some additional ventilation? I know on some vehicles it can still be done but its frowned upon these days by both companies and Health and Safety...

Additional services to support the XC outage

Were the additional LNWR services from Crewe to take Birmingham passengers to/from Crewe so people could get to/from Manchester? As apart from early Mornings and due to any disruption XC don't normally operate any services via Crewe. Considering the paths were available why couldn't the extras...

    EMR Regional and Connect refurbishments

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't 158889 technically finally going back home considering it came from what is now SWR in the first place due to East Midlands Trains (or whatever they were called back then) being short of units at the time. Also with the refurbishments going on at the moment...

    Bee Network Service/Route Discussion

There did used to be a Rochdale-Burnley service up-to a couple of years ago (591) until First started butchering the Todmorden routes round Calder Valley to the extent that you have the situation that if you went that way today you end up with a 20 minute way for a bus from Todmorden-Burnley...

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

Following the recent departure of the ex Newcastle E400Hs from Chadderton, do TfGM still own/rent Chadderton Depot and are there any plans on using it again in the near future? When are the next batch of Electroliners due to arrive and enter service at Oldham Depot?

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

There's also the rumour of the routes being split with Oldham Depot keeping 415s and Middleton or Queens Road getting 129 due to running time issues causing late running on both routes meaning if a 415 is late into Middleton either 129 is dropped or a bus on another route (normally either 17 or...

Free Bus Travel for young people: Soon to be in England.

Are children meant to be issued a ticket? I've seen mixed responses to this in/around Greater Manchester, some drivers will just wave them on even if they ask for a ticket and other drivers will actually issue them with a ticket.

Diamond Bus East Midlands (was Midland Classic of Burton)

Am I right in thinking now the revised 12 route isn't happening that both 12 and 13 will be following the exact same routes or will there be any slight differences?

    Britain's Most Scenic Bus routes

Regarding 125 it was even more scenic earlier this summer when one of the roads it normally uses out of Bridgnorth was closed and it had to take what was another quite scenic route for it to get back on route.

Northern Unit Refurbishments and depot allocations.

The 3 cars also turn up regularly on Halifax-Hull and some Morecambe/Carlisle-Leeds services.

Northern Unit Refurbishments and depot allocations.

Looking at the route 158910 took from Crewe to Neville Hill it must have been the only route available to get it to Neville Hill over the weekend due to the usual route via Dewsbury being closed for engineering works relating to the Trans Pennine Upgrade.
