Hi, I was travelling from Cwmbran to Cardiff Central, didn't get a ticket from Cwmbran as I was late and when I arrived at Cardiff Central I said I got on at Newport. When the officer approached me and asked how I got over the barriers, I came clean and apologised for my mistake. The guy told me that I would receive a letter and that I would have to reply and I would probably have to pay the amount of the original fare, not even a fine! It was an amicable situation and I was even laughing by the end. A few weeks on I received a letter saying that they were considering taking me to court and they had enough evidence to prosecute and gave me 21 days to respond. So I grovelled, apologised, told them how much this would affect my career. I've just received a letter today saying that they are summoning me to court. I'm wondering if there are any more developments in your situation as your case seems pretty similar to mine. Would appreciate a reply. Thanks, Catherine
