My return has gone from £4 to £5.80 for around 2 miles each way. Prior to the cap it was £3.80. I drive now instead as it works out cheaper given we already have the car.

I suspect that by the time the 13:28 stopped, the driver spoke to control, and it was announced to be terminating, the 14:11 would have long gone.

The Weston services are having a hard time tonight due to motorway closures, with some services running over 5 hours late. I do feel for the drivers who no doubt are significantly late home.

It wasn't necessarily a shortage of drivers. Guards are also required for that line.

I'm not sure there's anything to protect the driver from in this case. 39463 worked the 18:55 into the centre. Normally this goes to the depot (based on the previous several days worth of tracking). Looks like either the driver had an old diagram, or just misread what they were doing.

Not sure where the five hours came from on this thread. Evacuation started in under two hours, and was complete an hour later.
