    ECML disruption - Darlington 22/05/26

I can see your reasoning, but the bimodes can use the Hertford loop and as the Lincoln service no longer calls at Stevenage that should not effect anything, and with 45 mins recovery time at Lincoln there seems no reson to cancel unless the stock is used elsewhere.

    ECML disruption - Darlington 22/05/26

I was due to travel from Lincoln yesterday morning, but due to the electrical fault between Peterborough and Kings Cross, all morning journeys were cancelled. This is not an uncommom situation during times of disruption and I accept that things can happen, but as this service is operated...

    Bee Network Service/Route Discussion

The 167 traces it's history all the way back to Manchester Corporation as the 4 which ran to Bamford and turned around at Bagslate Moor Road. It was renumber I believe by SELNEC and extended to to the bus turnaround at the Bridge Inn Norden

Cowboy Operators a thing of the past?

Interesting is an choice description of MASS, everything they touched turned into a disaster, be it Applebys Lincoln depot, Reliance of Grantham or Leon of Finningley. They all went the same way rapidly downhill and confined then to history,

    National Express "Rapide"

Although the name Rapide is associated with National/Trathens there was an earlier use of the name by Yelloway/National Travel (North West) when in 1974 the Paris Rapide service was introduced.

Northern issue "DO NOT TRAVEL" warning for 08/09/2024

The situation for RR Buses will not improve especialy if futere bus franchising follows how it has gone in Greater Manchester. Virtually all the work has gone to big operators, small companies hve been wiped out of the school market which was there bread and butter, this will leave a shoetage of...

    December 2024 timetable change

I cannot see the addition of Grimsby will improve the service via Lincoln, and will anything be done to deal with the excessive stand time at Lincoln. Could we see a 0927 departure from Lincoln to London and a later departure than the 1906 on the return from Kings Cross.

Major change at Merseytravel as historic name to go

    Bee Network Service/Route Discussion

Metrolink has decimated services in the Shaw area, and to be honest in both Royton and Chadderton. look at the advice given on journey planner mostly you spend your time walking to a tram stop. As former resident and now frequent visitor I find bus provision in general very poor.

Would it be really hard for people to understand, railways are run as some individuals persona[ feifdom, as opposed to the Public service they are supposed to be, the best solution until this realised operate 6 day week timetable.

Arriva to close Aylesbury and High Wycombe depots

As I have said previously I regularly use Arriva Merseyside who's vehicles, staff and service are exemplorary, but this division makes a profit and there lies the difference.

Arriva to close Aylesbury and High Wycombe depots

1716631916 I thank you for insight into the situation at Wycombe, but busy routes at lots of passengers do not make a depot proffitable if the cost base is unsustainable, restrictive practices and poor cooperation from some quarters did not help, and I say again this was an obsvious decline and...

Arriva to close Aylesbury and High Wycombe depots

1716623807 The decline at Wycombe goes back many years, even when part of the Shires management structure at Luton. If you believe that this is all due to poor management you really need to look at the whole situation, I agree some management decisions were questionable but Wycombe was for...
