Srtarting a new career as a driver

Hi there. Start by keeping an eye out for vacancies for trainee drivers, they do come up occasionally and you need to apply straight away as they don't advertise very long due to the high number of applicants. There's plenty of info on this site if you search for it. Good luck

Awaiting date for Trainee Driver assessment and Interview

Congratulations. Practice the group bordon so you can be as quick and as accurate as possible on the day. The mechanical tests are explained in the info pack you will shortly receive. Practice those mock tests and you won't go far wrong. You will also get a chance to do a few practice questions...

    Drivers Managers interview...

Have you already been to the OPC? My DM interview was quite relaxed although I had prepared myself for quite a grilling. The link posted as 'this' is very helpful though the questions may be different. Company knowledge is key

    Query about MMI

An OU course would be a perfect example imo. Remember they are looking to invest in you and they want to know you are comfortable and confident in a classroom environment. Try to incorporate that into your answer

Are you allowed annual leave during the training or are there set terms similar to the school education system?

The questions you shouldn't ask in a interview but are dying to know

During my DM interview I was questioned for around 1hr. I then asked the two DM's what they like about the TOC, how many hours I would be working, shift patterns and starting times. They were both incredibly helpful

That sounds like a pretty decent way to be to go through the training. Is that for around 9-12 months in duration?
