That’s not the case in this instance. Only Glasgow was advertised internally, every other depot was advertised to both internal & external candidates at the same time.

There was a rumour that the wording on the contract was incorrect and management signed it off without properly checking it. We are the only company with this type of contract for trainees, so could well be true.

Glasgow currently has an internal vacancy for trainee driver. There are plenty of applicants, so I fully expect them to fill it. As far as I’m aware there isn’t any plans for external trainee driver vacancies at the depot for the foreseeable future.
