Was on my usual journey up to London yesterday and as we passed Ashford there was a Class 395 that had been separated into different sections with one of the driving cars standing next to what looked like a low loader. Wondering if this is the one that had the accident at Ramsgate being taken...

I remember back in 1983-84ish seeing the Armstrong Galley Clipper which was a much more colourful competitor to the Rapide on the Newcastle to London route, totally off topic I know.

That’s this weeks journeys nearly over, just a 160 mile or so return trip into London. So my overall trip had 2 cancelled trains, EMR Newark to Lincoln so jumped on the LNER service that was around 10 mins behind, the Cross Country service from Reading to Bournemouth so had to jump on a GWR to...

So this weeks trip is leaving Sunday afternoon, Ramsgate-Lincoln, stay overnight. Lincoln-Stockport-Bristol, stay overnight. Bristol- Bournemouth, stay overnight. Bournemouth-Sunderland-Ramsgate. By road that’s around 1254miles. Would hate to do this by road.

It’s definitely been hit by the graffiti artists, I was to slow to take a photo.

Just past these at York, no 28 has a non standard paint job already! Does anyone know what numbers the 2 Rail Adventure power cars are?

Would anyone know the number of the Class18 shunter that is visible from the wcml at Basford Hall (i think thats what the sidings are called), is this the one Freightliner are using? Thanks.

I travel on these most days from Ramsgate to St Pancras. Looks like new seat covers and carpets, seat alignment doesnt seem to have changed. Passenger loading on the peaks are no where near where they were pre covid.

Some if not all of the works are still there in varing states of disrepair, I've only seen it since I moved south a few years back.

Not sure where Farningham Road is, when coming from Ashford may be a mile before Ebbsfleet on line leaves HS1 and another joins HS1 heading back to Ashford they both have overhead lines.

On the way into Ebbsfleet there are 2 lines that run off to the left just before the station, looking at Google and Wikipedia these are the lines that Eurostar originally used to access HS1. Are these lines ever used now? Thanks.
