Hi,
The questions were similar to the structured interview.
I was also asked a few extras which spring to mind:-
1) Have you ever had to resolve a conflict. How did you do this.
2) What do you consider the role of a train driver to be.
3) Why do you want to be a train driver. What attributes/experience do you think you possess that would suit you to the role.
4) Tell us what you know about FGW. Have quite a broad knowledge of the whole organisation, and where FGW fits within First group and the other rail franchises. A bit about the franchise process, and an idea of the extent of the FGW network.
Have a couple of questions ready to ask when the opportunity presents itself at the end of the interview. Saves you having to squirm and then come up with the first thing that pops into your head.
I took a notebook with questions written down that I wanted answers to, so that I didn't forget in my haste to get out of the interview. This evidently didn't go against me.
