Does anyone know if everyone who applies gets the online tests, or do they sift them first and only send the tests out to the ones that meet the criteria? I thought the tests were to sift so they didn't have to read through all the hundreds of applications, but someone thought different when I...

When I applied last year there was the numerical first, which I passed and found out straight away as was invited to take the verbal test. After the verbal they don't tell you if you passed it or not. I think they must then take the best scores, look through their applications then decide...

A great first day - eased in nice and gently! There are 10 on my course, about 5 of which are for Blackburn and there's another course that started last month with about 5 on for Blackburn too. Very pleased to have finally started - and met some fabulous people today!

Thanks for the info ANorthernGuard. Just got back from my very successful reki - met some really nice people from Northern including a lady that is conductor training - also for Blackburn! She said to take the letter offering employment and this will be fine to travel with on our first day...

Someone suggested to me to take the letter from Northern offering employment and show that to the conductor and gate line. That's what I am going to do - not sure if it's right or not, but you can try it. I will be with you on Monday as I start then too! I am doing a reki this morning to make...
