Converting BCU-30 Electric Locomotive to Electro Diesel

Pakistan Railways has some BCU-30 Electric Locomotives lying idle. These are 3000 hp with 4 dc traction motors, 750 hp each. Can anyone through some light on how to convert these to Electro-Diesels ? Thanks for your Help.
