Hertford North has acquired RA2/RA3 signage in conjunction with the new lift - but only the ones that are new or needed changing as a result, so looks a bit of a mess - the rest is still FCC style, with the odd bit of GN thrown in.
Presumably the actual reason for the pick up and set down only stops, which I don't think anyone seems to have picked up on yet, is that Stevenage becomes part of project Oval at the timetable change meaning contactless becomes available and I guess LNER are not set up for checking contactless...
Alex's role doesn't exist in DfT in any case after 1 April when the majority of the DfT civil servants in the rail team transfer to DFTO and hence, will now continue to work for Alex.
Is it only me left wondering why someone who lives in South Bermondsey is walking to, and getting a train from, London Bridge to Clapham Junction, and paying a higher fare than simply walking to Queens Road Peckham and getting a quicker and more frequent overground line train... (which I...
Essentially everything that is "IR" is planned to be hauled except IR867 and IR874 which are used to swap the units on the locals over.
R4200 is also hauled being the return working of an IR into Pochino, which then works one of the two IRs to Porto that start at Regua the next morning...
Launched in summer 2014 I believe on Southern. Mine was one of the first, initially issued for testing, and expires in October. I expect there are some that have already expired. It'll be one of the oldest cards regularly used on the Great Northern bit of the network.

Given that most, if not all, trains to Waterbeach do not stop at Finsbury Park and are fast Kings Cross to at least Letchworth then we need to know journey details and tickets actually held/purchased. If a valid ticket to Finsbury Park was already held, and then the subsequent ticket was from...
That Wetherspoon has now closed as part of the town centre redevelopment. McDonalds is probably the closest "coffee" with seating (and you can keep an eye on the trains across the car park too!). Using the lifts from the platform allows you to avoid the gateline, if exiting the station through...
If anyone from LNER is listening...
Interesting one on my train the other day. Colchester to Leeds Super Off Peak single (no returns as this is LNER)... there is an any permitted routing, via London, which carries restriction 9D and therefore puts restrictions on travel via London Terminals...
Interesting appointment announced this morning. Lord Peter Hendy (now former?!) Network Rail chairman appointed as Minister of State at DfT. I expect he will will get the Rail brief.

RE1 to Buchen/Schwerin/Rostock also hauled
RE8 (Lubeck) no longer hauled, though RB80 and RB81 which are the local shorts on the same route are.
RE5 is no longer Metronom, though does used the same diesel locos and stock in Metronom colours.
If you play around in Bahn.Expert (and change the...
