    GBR Anglia

Heathrow Express is technically an Open Access Operator and so isn't part of GBR. Perhaps things will change from 2028 at the expiry of its access agreement.

What's going to happen to the Class 222's after the Class 810's replace them?

The same article showing a visualisation of Lumo's Class 222 interior refresh. Existing standard class seats remain in grey, but First Class removed. The replacement standard class seats in the former FC areas look very similar to the new seating in CrossCountry's refurbished Voyager.

    XC Voyager Refurbishment

Yes, intermediate coaches are grey. See post #425 earlier in the thread for the paint scheme mockup over the full length.

    XC Voyager Refurbishment

Because the refurbishment specification was baselined before the GBR livery was thrown together by the intern on their lunch break.

Cross-country overcrowding: what could be done?

Don't forget that the arrival of the additional 221s from Avanti followed the departure of the HSTs, plus there must be at least one Voyager under refurbishment, so not a massive uplift in additional coaches all considered. There's also the issue of short-staffing and the working arrangements...

    Is ScotRail rolling stock nationalised?

I'd be very sceptical. Much of the legacy British Rail-era stock will be leased from the conventional ROSCOs. I believe with the Class 380 fleet a clause permits Transport Scotland to take ownership for a nominal fee after a set number of years. I'm unaware of any special arrangements for more...

Class 810 for East Midlands Railway Construction/Introduction Updates

Alstom built an additional 2x Class 334 EMUs for ScotRail as a goodwill gesture as a result of delays and technical issues, so not without precedent...

Class 220/221 are owned by Beacon Rail, with Eversholt owning the Class 222s.

Not necessarily, it might be simply 'forward facing' CCTV.

These images are noted by the CrossCountry spokesperson as being for illustrative purposes and are not final...
