    Thank you for the reply. That sounds very positive. I'm 47 so getting on a bit and I'm hoping that GWR would still allow someone of my age to move to a better paid job within the business. If I could get to a role that paid me £30k I'd be over the moon.

    Hi, I'm being made redundant and a friend of mine has suggested trying to get a job eith GWR. He said if I take any position at first (however low paid) I'll then be able to get a better paid job internally as jobs are advertised internally first. My question is are jobs advertised internally...
