Cheers mate. I passed the medical last year but failed on some hearing loss that I didn't realise I've had since birth (no idea how I slipped through the Met's tests!). Hopefully in the next week or two I'll get to do one final risk assessment with their in house audiologist and then I'll get a start date.
That drop in pay is definitely going to be hard to swallow. Just got to look at the rise at the end. To be honest I'd take a pay cut just to leave the Met. I'm completely done with it.
