I was also on this train. Poor effort by NR/ LNER. They decided not to implement single line working as was to much hassle causing no end of delays behind us. The issue with the 801 changed more than once which also just led to confusion with the passengers. Every time something like this...
Still get a freights running across the junctions at Spital and New England Nth Jn to access the GBRf depot. Not much can be done about them all the ECS from the Nene without completely rebuilding the railway at and around Peterborough. The Werrington diverunder does what it was built for.
Same company regardless. I'm a GN shunter but spend 50% of my time dispatching TL trains. A few 700s we send out run on GN services despite saying TL on the side.
Tornado has a steam powered generator and IIRC an axle on the tender is connected to a alternator.
