What happened about the Minehead - Bristol summer service ?
First it was on ...then off...then on again, even the WSR website said it was on in the timetable.
Dont like it myself, but is a good paint job.
think preserved locos should be just that, in a livery they carried in the old BR days be that original green or blue, also not a fan of non original plates.
Would be well hacked off if i paid to go on a tour and it turned up in the large logo...
As i was driving into Salisbury this morning saw a blue loco with a rake of yellow coaches, it caught me unaware so just saw it flash by out of the corner of my eye.
Any ideas what it was ????
Thanks Jord
Looks like we might be in for some 31 thrash this summer after all.
there is a bit on the WSR website as well under latest news saying they will run.
Just back on the scene, so lost track a bit.
Can anyone tell me where i can photograph some decent traction on freight workings etc around the south by that i mean loco's like DRS 20's or 37's 47's, not really into 66's ???
Not in a good location for pics as it's in a siding on the main line on castle street bridge, the grafiti artists must have got to it by walking the line.
But you can see from the road it's in a light grey colour with quite a large logo on the side, now with marker pen grafiti all down one...
If anyone is interested 31128 and i believe it must be 47832 but i could not see the number, but it is freshly painted have been stabled at Salisbury all week on Castle St bridge.
trouble is the local scumbags have been at work on the 47 with a marker pen.
There's probably a good reason for it, and i'm probably don't know what im on about !
But why did 47832 work to the WSR from OC as mentioned in one of the other forum's ?
Having given up on my hobby due to the demise of most loco hauled in the past few years, i came out of retirement in 2004 when i discovered 31's were back on the Brighton and Weymouths.
But pretty soon they were gone again :-(
I know the last official working was in December 04, but i did...
