As mentioned previously on this thread, noisy people in the quiet coach really get me wound up. Why do East Coast book large groups of people into this area knowing that they will probably make a din? I am writing this as we speak on the 0900 Newcastle to Kings X and having to put up with a...
Yes I have seat reservations for both services mentioned. The reason I question it is I travel this route 2/3 times a month and have never had an Advance ticket endorsed TPE, only XC and EC. I would have thought it would have been endorsed EC on this occassion as they are the first and main TOC...
Hi all,
I have booked an Advance ticket from Newcastle to Leeds for this Thursday, travelling on the 1130 East Coast departure from Newcastle changing at York onto the 1239 TPE service to Leeds.
All very good and a resonable fare of £14.50, but when I received the tickets today it is...
I have always found in the past that when dealing with poor Customer Services and you are getting nowhere to go straight to the top and miraculously the problem is resolved straight away. This has worked for me with Orange, Comet, GNER and BT. You have to guess at the email address for the head...
I am a fairly regular traveller between Newcastle and York/Leeds and have always booked my tickets through the NXEC website. I usually end up splitting tickets to Leeds at York as it works out about £6 cheaper for a single. However when I checked the NXEC website today there appears to be new...
NXEC have a gret offer on at the moment, from their website:
"Were celebrating our first year of operating on the East Coast by offering special £5 one way flat fares, for travel to top cities on our route.
Over 100,000 £5 tickets are available, but youll need to be quick to avoid...
It would appear that Savers are not the only fares that are being increased by 'stealth'. I checked a Cheap Day Single from Newcastle to York, on the 6th Sept it is £21.40 yet on 7th Sept it is £21.90. I know 50p is not a great increase but does this go against what is on the National Rail...
Slightly off topic byt there are a few journeys I make where it is cheaper for me to break my journey in York
eg Newcastle - Leeds single buy a CDR to york and CDS York to Leeds and it works out about £5 cheaper than a Standard single through fare. When ever booking in the north I always look...
Im impressed! Some of you guys have travelled a lot of miles!
Just a bit of help needed really, I want to create a map myself, and have seen the template on the 1st post. Possibly a dumb question but how are you guys editing these maps? I'm not sure how you go about it any tips would be...
I am new to this forum so please go easy on me!
I booked a trip last night from Newcastle to York on 24/5 travelling on the 1440 departure. Normally I book my tickets on NXEC website but some reason I was having trouble loading it up so I went onto thetrainline and found my trip would be £7...
