At Kingham, the X8 Cotswold Line Railbus that goes to Chipping Norton and the Wychwoods is shown on the platform information screens. This was a joint initiative between First Great Wetern and Oxfordshire County Council.
DELAYED AGAIN....
The TWA public inquiry is being re-opened this summer to consider 4 specific matters raised by objectors. Already one year behind schedule this could push services back another year to 2015. Here is a statement from Chiltern Railways:
We are currently working to...
In my mind Chiltern sail pretty close to the wind far too often. A sense of arrogance ("we've got the longest franchise and can do what we like") prevails and they've been caught out. Tweaking the timetable to favour a commercial 'competitor' might benefit customers but they are also...
Except that the cost difference between a 100m platform and one suitable for a 10-car IEP would be almost £900k. There's no way that HSTs/IEP are going to stop as the penalty for doing so would be too great both in time and capacity.

Is that an in-service Turbo diagram or an empty stock move?
I will hazard a guess and say the 150 was up from Bristol to give HST drivers route knowledge before the Christmas blockade. Most Bristol and South Wales HSTs are being diverted via South Ruislip, Banbury and Oxford and then around...
That was exactly the orignal proposal, but Chiltern Railways had to find ways of saving money to make Evergreen 3 stack-up so decided that builidng out the up platform gave them the straight line they needed for non-stop trains without the cost of new signalling and crossovers .
