I'm wondering what circumstances this would actually be needed - I would assume that in any incident requiring a full evacuation people would self evacuate anyway and for anything else having a duplex tgv set worth of passengers milling around is going to be quite hard to manage. It could be...
The KeyGo data often takes several says to show in the customer portal so I wouldn't be surprised if scan data doesn't synchronise instantly either.
I think it's likely you won't hear anything else, in case you do, was there anyone else at the volunteering that would act as a witness if...
Have they paid out for any of the incorrect journeys? My reading of the email is they're just asking you to substantiate the delay repay claims before they pay out. I would be inclined not to respond given you don't have any proof. Obviously that means forgoing the delay repay payment but I...
And even if you're aware actually finding a member of staff to do it for you isn't particularly straightforward.
Back on topic - the OP is appears adamant they held a valid ticket. I don't really see what grounds SWR would have to prosecute given it's not an offence to not scan a ticket. It's...
If I get caught with an invalid / expired railcard it's my responsibility but if I get away with it for 6 months because they can't be bothered to check I'd suggest the railway needs to start taking some responsibility.
There are certainly ANPR checks but if you're caught it's normally just a...
I guess it depends on the OP's priorities. If avoiding a conviction is the absolute priority then getting professional advice from a solicitor with relevant experience might be a good idea. It's going to be quite expensive though and I don't think there's much evidence a solicitor would...
I'm aware TOCs seek out of court settlements on behalf of other operators but do they actually prosecute on their behalf much / at all?
I suspect in most cases the actual value of the fare is pretty small so rarely gets challenged.
An interesting aside that he was only required to repay the £5,892.70 based on weekly tickets rather than the £19,689 based on singles Chiltern wanted.
It would be interesting to know what Dr Barnett has been up to in the intervening almost 10 years...
Have a look at https://www.nmc.org.uk/ftp-library/understanding-fitness-to-practise/fitness-to-practise-allegations/criminal-convictions-and-cautions/ - clearly nobody wants a conviction and it's not exactly something you want to flag on your CV it seems highly unlikely to me that a single...
I've wondered that as well. The Oban to Castlebay or Lochboisdale routes are around 5 hours so it's possible they ran them at reduced speed overnight to arrive at a reasonable time in the morning. That's just speculation though.
Is there any evidence of this? A (admittedly brief) search here didn't find anyone asking for advice and the first couple of pages of a google search was customers suing TOCs rather than the other way round.
I would guess this will most likely end up in the "too difficult" pile and you won't hear anything further. You have given them an address where you can be contacted so I would just wait and see if anything comes of it, but if you are concerned about future implications (personally I think it's...
They'd also need a (physical) address to serve any court summons - I'm pretty sure Trainline etc don't ask for that. (Yes, it's theoretically linked to the card holder; I don't think the bank will give that out lightly though).
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
