Whilst sitting in the usual Urine stained class 165 which had stopped on the way from Reading to Basingstoke, I saw a double headed engineering train led by a GBRF class 73 and what looked like an old BR blue livery one. Could it have been in the old livery? or did my eyes deceive me?

The urine point is an excellent one. I usually go first class, so I tend to escape the urine smell. But still, the toilets and aircon must be inexplicably linked or something.

Hi :) I live over in Wiltshire, and travel over to Camberley to see my girlfriend. As you said, variety is an issue, IC125, 166 or a 455. Occasionally I travel to Guildford, I guess Guildford has the advantage of being on the Northern Downs line, so I get to see the occasional 166. Does...

First post here, y'oll seem nice =] Umm, forgive me for asking a stupid question. But how exactly are HST's turned around if the need arises? Are turntables still used? Or is a big loop used? Thanks
