    I’ve noticed that sometimes what sounds like the train’s fans/ac (?) randomly kick in mid journey and it becomes cooler. This has tended to be when near a station e.g. this morning when approaching Blackfriars. I’m only on the train for about 15mins so I’m not sure if this is repeated elsewhere...

    Not strictly rolling stock related but I was having a skim of the Anglia Route Strategic Plan Jan ‘18 & on p.27 it said GA is funding Network Rail for works connected to franchise commitments (including the new rolling stock). Do TOC’s normally ‘fund’ NR and if so what would GA be paying NR to do?
