Thank you both for the input.
I think I will have to try to find out from station staff if my planned train is running to time, and if not be prepared to jump in a taxi for the firs leg of the journey.
Have any of you well travelled folk used the east coast shuttle trains in Malaysia?
I am mulling over a trip from Jerantut to Tanah Merah (for the Perhentian Island) using daytime trains rather than bus. This journey would involve a change at Kuala Lipis with a 23 minute connection. Of course...
Happy to be corrected, but yes I believe 2B stock has wrap around doors, and maintained the middle door, while 2C lost the middle doors. Did 2B also get a toilet either end rather than the two toilets at one end in previous marks?
When did the DBSOs start. I can recall travelling in AC mk2s with wood panelling and blue seats (mk2d??), but I think these may have gone when the DBSOs came in? Memory getting hazy.
I recall using an Anglia Day Ranger as a child in the 1980s to travel to far flung places from Norfolk, such as Spalding, Hitchin, Audley End and Kings Lynn. Much loco hauled action was to be enjoyed around the region for the princely sum of five quid!

Kind Regards.

I was wondering if anyone would know if the services down that street run to a specific schedule? I believe CSX, and...
Llanelli & Mynydd Mawr railway. Cracking bunch of lads, great display, more than happy to engage with my kids. Recommend getting there early if you want to try their simulator!
I think the 20ltr thing is just an arbitrary figure just to get people to think about what they *really* need to bring and avoid people bringing in massive bags which can be troublesome in big crowds.
Last year I took my child to the Radio 2 festival in Preston. A 20ltr bag limit was placed on...
It hasn’t rained in the area for about 3 weeks, and there’s been plenty of wind, so I will be easy to negotiate your way to the river. Even if there is some mud or standing water you will be able to get around it.
You snooze, you lose. I pontificated for too long and have missed out on tickets for this, and have disappointed my offspring in the process. I’ve added an alert on resale site Twickets in the hope that somebody may have got over excited and booked too many, and decide to sell them on! Fingers...
So yesterday was the day. The day for my Pullman dining experience for the milestone birthday.
The train was at the platform at Plymouth and around 20 minutes before departure we boarded coach K, and my partner went into coach L to inform the steward that we were standard class passengers, but...
