Banbury driver numbers have been above establishment for quite a while so opportunities have been very limited. Warwick is not a depot

in most circumstances, yes they'd be noticed, but there are far too many variables. it's certainly far from uncommon to not see pway workers until you're passing them why would a driver report it?

There's also Saunderton Tunnel on the Up line, though that's less than 100m long so less of an issue than others

The majority of trains running through Aylesbury on the down main use the up platform. This leaves the down platform free as that's needed to run trains between the depot and sidings. it is also more convenient for passengers
