Am I the only one delighted to see MTR Corporation on the shortlist for a few franchises?
They have a stellar record with the HK MTR and they are exceedingly profit-making with all their business development/interests, backed by the govt.
Yesterday around 10.50am a VT Pendolino arrived on platform 5 at LONDON EUSTON. It was unusual because of a tweak of the livery around the windows. I didn't get the headcode, but it has the inspiration of a London Midland livery tweak.
Does anyone know the headcode, or has seen it before?
I've come across this PDF which seems rather official documenting the routes and tph from the various destinations linking north and south via St Pancs and Kings Cross.
I've posted it because I've not seen it on here officially before, not in this way...
You seem a little hysteric, or even familiar with the rail infrastructure.
Rolling stock is in finite supply and although I'm not FGW biggest fans, they've made the best of a uphill job, and getting much better...than back in the day.
That story is as laughable as the Victoria Line visually-impared one. *grunts*
Ha. Just give me the info. I'm one of those...
Currently writing about Northern!
Thanks for your insight. That is rather facinating - in relation to the rolling stock catergories.
But you are quite right on mobile technology, it is a great achievement of the Chinese, but whether the mobile signalling has anything to do with the 'shallow' nature of the GZ Metro that it...
Hi guys,
I'm currently in GZ, China, for a while, and I'm already a frequent user of the Guangzhou Metro.
Has anyone - by chance - used it, or heard anything about it.
I have to say, it is one of the star creations alongside the Canton Tower.
Where do I start:
Wider guage - meaning...
Blimey - I've opened a horrid can of worms here...
I am certainly not a fare evader.
My point is about access - I would have happily bought a ticket if there was a machine on my platform, there isn't and it is unbelievably long to get to the other platform - and for me that is just not...
Running late is neither here nor there. And from using the Styal Line for a week - I'm shocked at how SLOW, slapdash, and laid back conductors are, when it comes to keeping a punctual service on the line.
I would (naturally) vehermently disagree - basically put a ticket machine on a mountain -...
Anyone familiar to the station, just outside Manchester Piccadilly will know how much of a pain, like other stations along that route, are.
In the morning, around 9.30am - I was heading southbound - running late, legging it for the train, got to the platform with about 40 seconds to spare...
This is going to be some crap crowdsourcing.
But I was reading Philip Hammond's announcement on Northern and TPE franchises extensions and he made reference to the consultation of a greater northern PTE.
Now, I've read that on here before - but I thought it was just us having a fantasy...
