I've done Norwich - Amsterdam - Liverpool before , was less tiring than the train. I've also looked at Liverpool- Belfast- Gatwick several times, fares can be less than the train, and connections good. Then I am south of London where I want to be.

I was heading to Liverpool city centre so the demand is to the coast and to the city for shopping, entertainment etc. Also airport passengers alighting at LSP.

They just need to provide the required capacity !!

Do you know why it is so slow ? Signalling or track ? I think the overcrowding issue on TFW is because they just seem short of rolling stock. Although sometimes the Llandudno - Liverpool is 3 cars.

Interesting I have used the service for a long time, and it has certainly deteriorated since being moved to stop at platform 4 at LSP. Many passengers were moaning about the extremely slow progress . Incidentally isn't 30 mph , super slow ?

Travelled from Frodsham to Liverpool on Saturday just gone. Two car train, heaving, standing throughout . I caught the 12.56 , which arrived about 6 mins late. After Runcorn the train travelled quite slowly, using platform 4 at South Parkway, which seems quite commonplace for the TFW these days...

The Liverpool-Southport may have had ageing stock, but I can't ever imagine the demand was falling. There was an electric branch from Southport to Crossens as well, which was also popular. Thank god Beeching didnt get his way, would have been a disaster today.

Quite , it wont be full of passengers from Birmingham going to Manchester Airport, there is no point for the air passenger.

I've used it a few times from Liverpool or Runcorn to Euston, and its worked and ive got an upgrade to first and more resent in standard premium . They charge on top of your bid price a " platform" fee, of £6.00 I think. This is not very obvious when you place the bid, and its something I don't...

i'm not keen on the place. Normally I'm there as im changing trains. If I can do that at Stafford or Wolverhampton, I definitely prefer to do that.
