    West Yorkshire.... Common Sense???

uksweet - you need to remember that a ticket clerk CANNOT tell you to get on a train with an invalid ticket - it isn't their place - as has been mentioned already - ask the guard. It is not helping anyone with the attitude you currently have - as nobody will really be inclined to help you.

Network Railcard - how long can I buy in advance?

Any way to treat a young lady?

Wokingham has payphones, also has help points on platforms, one right next to the door which was allegedly slammed in her face. (should still be there - although has been a while since I've used Wokingham station) Wokingham isn't an isolated place - it has a taxi rank, and a pub next to it...

Evening Peak and 'fasts' out of Paddington.

Sorry to reply late to this. FGW can't impose further restrictions however they can ask TOC's to add conditions to it or the DfT if need be. --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Lead operator means the operator who sets the prices for the flow in question, and (usually) who gets...

    is my ticket invalid?

As it seems to only be the reservation that is missing you may be able to get it re-issued, so check at a local station. *not all stations can re-issue reservations.

Platforms 2-5 Barriers were installed before Oyster was accepted on FGW. Plus Platforms 2-5 are only really long distance trains except sometimes during engineering works, so no real need to have them fitted.

Can I excess a single ticket for change of origin before travel?

As an update, I had a bit of a play with Star - and it seems it will allow a change of Origin - I think the main problem is with The Manual, until there is actually written information saying ticket offices are able to do change of Origin - they will be reluctant to do it.

Can I excess a single ticket for change of origin before travel?

I apologise Star does say Overdistance - but it only allows change of destination. Which when you actually read the Manual is all it shows, but ya know, point me to the appropriate section that says I am wrong :) As the excess fares section in The Manual only covers: "Travel at a time or day...

Can I excess a single ticket for change of origin before travel?

Origin cannot be changed. To the staff on here blaming training for not being able to do it - have a read of The Manual. Only way I can think of to change origin will just be put in for refund and issue correct ticket.

Can I excess a single ticket for change of origin before travel?

No. On Star the only options for Excess Fares are: Change of Route - Change of destination - Peak - Superior Class Change of Origin is NOT an option.

Moving map on the HST (Volo screen)

Thing is that FGW hasn't had to pay anything for Volo, Volo approached FGW asking to use FGW trains for their product.
