Yes, we have been spoiled as to how quickly a video recording of work carried out has regularly appeared on YouTube. I am sometimes amazed at the effort to edit, produce and then upload a video done in less than 24 hours, so a few days is quite understandable sometimes. I appreciate it anyway...

The latest On Track with Tim video on YouTube shows the surfacing in progress on the A62 bridge plus a video of a drive over the realignment. Video also shows progress at Huddersfield station with work on the new subway and roof.

Apologies to those that can't access this, but Network Rail have posted a video on Facebook showing that the last girders of the Baker viaduct over the river have been lifted into place. It's part of a general promotional video for the Transpennine Route Upgrade programme, so nothing else is new...

There were plans to build new entrance building and ticket office on the car park, allowing the current ticket office on the footbridge entrance to be removed and make space for a gate line. I can't see how there's space unless they do that.

The research was in the context of bus services, but also applies to high frequency train services. Of course some routes don't get that level of frequency because of demand. It's more the human perception of 'turn up and go'.

TfL research shows that at 12 minute frequency (5 services an hour) people perceive a service as truly 'turn up and go'. In other words that don't worry about any timetable and simply rely on the service.

Because the listed bit isn't being touched. They are redeveloping the faux Victorian 1990's built bit, that just looks Victorian.

Well they have planning permission now and since the Chancellor did a photo op on the concourse about the development, there's no way it's going to be called in. We can but hope the lighting design is a good one.
