I remember as a Teenager in the 80s having to wait in the booking hall. There are a load of rowdy inebriated partygoers in Blackpool -Especially at weekends.

There are Coffee shops as well as the Beer House to keep warm, Simply buy a coffee and wait for the train. Its a different matter when they are closed though, I cant see SSP helping out though allowing passengers in when the Beer house is closed- What about drunks and Vandals? Platform 3 -6...
They did this over at Victoria ten years ago, It was changed to -Manchester Victoria wood station- For the day. Just a bit of fun but could be confusing to out of towners.
It wasn't 20 years ago when I supped in there, I had my phone nicked on a packed new years eve. I suppose places change though, Ill pop in there sometime if the trains late.
You beat me to it, Its a horrible station at night and all the local riff raff hang around after dark. I wait on the main road and run down the ramp as the train approaches.
My Mum who is in a Wheelchair would like a direct service to Saint Anne's to see her sister. She lives in Kearsley, So she would have to change twice at Bolton or Wigan then Preston, There Isn't enough capacity to fit direct trains.
I always change at Salford crescent or Bolton for onward Connections to Blackpool from Victoria. The same should apply to Southport trains for Connections to the Castlefield Line.
