I'm starting 28th November and not received anything official, just a phone call. I called hr who advised the contracts are often only received a couple of weeks before start date. I'm not handing in my notice until I have a contract though so I have booked leave from 28th November onwards.

Thanks. Thought as much but was hoping they would have between Xmas and new year off anyway. Certainly wouldn't skip a day. Like you say it's a great opportunity and wouldn't do anything to jeopardise it.

Hi. Waiting to start training course in Manchester and knowwas told it runs Monday to Friday 9-4 is but was wondering if anyone knew what days we will have off over Xmas. Was hoping to get 27th Dec off. Any info appreciated. Thanks

Passed assessment early June for Manchester- heard same day that I passed plus got a follow up email next day to confirm. Since then heard nothing. I did call a few weeks back and they assured me they were waiting for courses, although they would hardly say they are just keeping you in reserve...

With Northern its interview, assessment then hopefully medical

Hopefully I've made the cut. Had interview at Manchester end of April passed assessment beginning of June, now waiting very patiently to hear something and don't want to mither HR, as probably swamped.
