Not in my experience. My journeys from London to Manchester routinely involve a split, and I select the same seat for both parts. The display firstly shows "Reserved to [X]", then changes at X to "Reserved to Manchester".

It's good to have chapter and verse on the valid times. However I have never had my use of the pass questioned. Only once has a guard scanned it to check for the presence of the add-on.

Thanks, but brasseagle has done the job for me. Incidentally, on the last renewal I found that PayPoint shops couldn't add the add-on. In the travel shop they said something about some card readers being temperamental, but their machine was more reliable. So don't despair id a PayPoint fails.

I have used that comination, and had it instected on the LNWR train without issue. Not that that proves anything... The connection usually works if you know where you're going. The TfW train is scheduled to pass across the LNWR train's path.
