Hi All,
Some paths have appeared in the system to run a set of ECS movements from Doncaster RMT - York - Peterborough and back to the RMT, twice daily, for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday - this being operated by the Swift Express eversholt 321334 (Some paths for wednesday below)
So a few...
though it must be kept in mind that DB Cargo UK intend to increase their fleet down at the Tunnel to 10 operational examples to handle a projected increase in traffic (they're barely dealing with it as it is) 92029 is confirmed to be returning. 92007/013/031 appear the other likely candidates.
Hello there,
57312 has dragged 768001 today from Castle Donnington EMDC - Crewe South Yard
It is set to return back to Castle Donnington tomorrow via a similar path.
My only question is- why? What business does 768001 have in Crewe South Yard?
Any and all information is appreciated.
Thanks a...
Cheers for the date :)
I can guarantee it has new buffers and front piping fitted. This is for sure - surely this represents a return to service is not too far off?
Hi there all,
92029 "Dante", a Railfreight Grey class 92 with EWS "Big Beasties" on the side is in storage in Crewe for quite some time now.
It's recently moved into the shed and has had some new buffers fitted. (Gen sourced from a DB Cargo UK Driver)
Does anyone know the exact date (or to...
ROG have acquired them to " assist in our transformation of UK rail freight logistics. " (Source: Gordon Cox, ROG Business Development Director) So in other words, they're going to end up associated with Orion Logistics at some point, or at least thats what i can deduce from that quote.
Also a very good point, and one that hadnt sprang to mind. My reason for wearing it is simply that I had a big passion for the TOC, and loved the livery and their traction. I've wanted one for a long time but held off while virgin trains west coast still existed.
But yes I understand you...
Hi guys, much appreciated for the kind replies. All information is appreciated and the other perspectives are welcomed. I've had no trouble in the past, I've had this jacket for some time now and not ran into any trouble. As only a single piece of railway attire, not one person has ever mistaken...
Hey all,
I was at doncaster station just today, wearing a (very) old Virgin Trains jacket. I was told by a dispatcher to remove the coat immediately, lest I have it confiscated. This is apparently due to the fact that it is "private property" and cannot be worn a train station due to its TOC...
Maybe I'm asking a rather dim question here, but why would an Orion unit be running a Varamis Rail run? Surely these two are rivals in the rail logistics world, unless these two are linked in some way I'm not yet aware of? Thanks anyway though :)
Oooo, now this one I know. Varamis rail were a recent startup rail parcels company, originally designed to run between Newcastle, Doncaster, and possibly London, using 365s. They made a grand thing of it about a year back, then as Orion gen came out they went quiet. Not bothered to look into...
