Doubling back through Meadowhall with a season ticket

Thanks folks. I'll go with DBD-SHF to be on the safe side. I thought I'd read something about season tickets being more flexible with regards to routeing (other than the boundary rule) but clearly not. SYConnect+ is a good deal when doing a couple of bus/tram trips too but isn't worth it in...

Doubling back through Meadowhall with a season ticket

Hi, I commute between Penistone and Sheffield 3 days a week and use Flexi Seasons. As I sometimes travel beyond that (typically to Doncaster, and sometimes towards Huddersfield), and have found extending to certain other stations in South Yorkshire is the same price, I'd like to maximise the...

Told I shouldn't have taken a later train after delay on split ticket

Hi all I am considering making a complaint to Northern but wanted to make sure I'm in the right first. Yesterday I had two advance tickets, one for the 18:02 from St Pancras to Sheffield (EMR), then another for the 20:18 Sheffield to Barnsley (Northern). The reason for the two tickets is one...

    Unusual objects carried onto trains

I saw a plastic full sized bath tub once, I think on a Meridian. I've taken computers and servers as others have mentioned. I was once involved in a rather abstract stage production about the Underground, and one section listed items allegedly conveyed on the Tube. The only one that...

    Cambridge to Derby via Stevenage

And? Intercity 125s/225s are so much nicer/quieter than both 170s and 158s :-)

    Cambridge to Derby via Stevenage

OK, so now I'm back at a computer, it does look less realistic, besides, the Routeing Guide won't permit it anyhow. I did, however, change and do the PBO-GRA leg in both directions on East Coast. Although this did mean having to change an extra 2 times, and the return journey got me to Derby...

    Cambridge to Derby via Stevenage

Well my original itinerary was Cambridge, Ely, Nottingham. I can appreciate it taking longer via Stevenage, however it would mean I could travel on a nice HST rather than a Sprinter family. My ticket is 'not via London' rather than 'via Ely' too.

    Cambridge to Derby via Stevenage

Hi all. I'd look this up myself but don't have a computer available. Is anyone able to find out whether the return portion of a Derby to Cambridge not via London off peak return would be valid via Stevenage? I've briefly read about easement 700070, however would this be useful in this scenario...

    Special Offers Discussion

I do have a rewards account, and also received that email. I've had a fairly good look at journeys between Edinburgh and London, and Leeds and London, but can't seem to get anything to come up other than the usual fares. I must be doing something wrong somewhere.. Maybe I'll just have to...

Does anyone know how to get this? The offer page says it's not available to the general public until tomorrow, however I'm signed in yet can't figure out how to book it yet. It doesn't seem to show up on the journey planner.

Getting to Derby sooner via WCML

Thanks for the replies. We got there eventually, missed the bus and got a taxi. I'll add more detail of what happened in the morning!

Getting to Derby sooner via WCML

Hi all. There's 3 of us travelling together, and we were planning to get the 1855 from St Pancras, getting off at Derby. This was cancelled and an EMT person recommended using the WCML and changing at Birmingham New Street, so we got the 1943 to Wolverhampton from Euston. (as the problem still...

    Special Offers Discussion

You have to click the link in the email, and go right through the booking process until you're just about to pay. Then a page with one field in appears asking for the code. --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Has anyone had the email through for this yet?
