Took my exercise today in the form of a run up to the old Butterhouse Tunnel in Diggle. A really cool (and creepy) place near the big Standedge tunnels. It was part of the old Micklehurst Loop, an old, short line between Stalybridge and Diggle. It doesn't look like the portal has been touched...

I'd tend to agree "passengers" sounds a bit more friendly and for me conjures the image of fireplaces in the waiting room and wooden carriages on the tracks! "Customers" reminds me of work - but I think we can at least agree not to call them "users" !
