1E82 now moving again. Just gone non-stop through York. Driver says "all lines open". Well done Lumo for letting the driver talk to the passengers. I hope he's right. Traksy still shows 1E01 blocking.

If only 1E82 could be put in a platform at York, we could make alternative plans (like XC to Sheffield, then to London). Frustrating to sit here on the slow line watching XC trains pass us.

I'm stationary on1E82, held on the slow Southbound line just north of York. Other than "a failed train further down the line" the crew appear to have no information.

Those bridges are in the Morningside and Grange Conservation Areas. They have low parapets at present (i.e. you can watch the trains easily from the bridges). With electrification the parapets would probably need to be raised which would create difficult architectural problems with these...
