We have ex-HEX drivers on First Great Western. They are fully qualified drivers and as with any other driver moving between TOCs just require traction training and any applicable route learning.

TOCs ae only interested in running teh heavily loaded rush hour services. Early and late trains don't make money and have extra problems like security on trains and at stations and of course eating into the maintenance time for track and stock. Government or PTE money is needed for these trains...
