MBR is Material by Rail, a hang over from earlier in the project when we at TfL were putting pressure on HS2 to move material by rail (in and out) instead of putting it all of Euston's on the local roads

Opening of the GWR part of the station is dependent on the significant work to route the tracks through the new station platforms. As I understand it, there are two blockades programmed for Christmas 2026 and Christmas 2028 to achieve this.

Blame it on DfT for not appointing the operator earlier. They should be looking at the overall programme and making things happen

All very easy in normal operation but if either the main or relief lines are closed during maintenance or service perturbation, both would need to use the same platform if they are to call.

The lack of urgency was at DfT in the time taken to appoint Chiltern as operator. Only then could they start to recruit staff etc as well do the physical fit out. While Bletchley High Level needed such work, West Midlands Trains operates the whole station. Winslow is the only new one.

Believe it was London Underground that wanted the arrangement changes so they could close their station at times of disruption and overnight
