One small thing but I find it very annoying. On arriving at Clapham junction on a 701 ex Reading. The announcement says that one can change for Reading. Similar issues with other destinations at other stops.
Well I don't see why people nearer London should see their service halved to save a few minutes for the relatively few people who would be travelling from reading all the way to Waterloo
Railcards are not a massive example of complications they are independent of the fare structure. The railcards just permit a discount from a current fare.
You can have just one set of fares if you want simplicity. Railcards just sit above the available fares.
Yes they are up all along the line. I have seen them at Feltham, Twickenham and Richmond. Prevention of accidental problems. Stops deniability of not knowing.
