Hi all.
Some great replies there, thank you.
I don't have a speed limiter but that sounds useful.
I like the post-it note trick for TSR's/ESR's but think I'd find making sure I had some an issue lol
So no-one puts something red on the dash then, I'm surprised.
This is a question to drivers.
When on the move and passing a single yellow - do you use any other physical visual method to provide an extra reminder to oneself that you have a red aspect ahead?
For example, it may be your single yellow is just after a station stop or you depart from a yellow...
I emailed them today and they sent me soft copies of the starting info :-) probably get hard copy in post tomorrow :-)
So, phone call to my new line manager tomorrow to arrange Monday :-)
Yep Sikes, it's real at last.
Looking forward to meeting you & others.
Anyone starting the 18/11 course received starting instructions yet? I've had my contract etc and returned them but am eagerly awaiting confirmation of location and more on starting! Patience eh?

Many vacancies I believe are advertised internally first, I worked in a ticket office for about 18 months prior to applying for trainee driver...
Hi Sikes.
I was offered Reading or Oxford and chose Reading in the end.
Putting my contract in the post today, looking forward to receiving my instructions now, hoping to find confirmation the course is indeed at Reading too.
Had your contract / instructions yet?
Great news Sikes.

I was told I should get contract/starting instructions in email/post in next few days to start on the 18th November - have to wait to see where that will be !
You starting the same day?

The nurse checked both aided and unaided. However, I think they were only interested in whether you met the standards aided, ie with your glasses on.
It was the normal tests, hold a sheet of writing close up and then at arms length and read smallest sentence size you can. Then read lit up...
I coughed at the wrong time 3 times, then she realised I was doing it on purpose ;-)
Passed, fully fit, just have to await the drug test now. Formality, although they may think I'm a lemsip addict after this weekend.
Tip for those yet to go - take your eyesight / glasses prescription if...
Not yet. My manager has said she could release me for the one starting 18/11
though. Resourcing told me it would be decided by the training school after my med result as to when and where. I have expressed a strong preference for a Reading course though if possible.
Will let you know !
