A friend got a call within 2-3 days and got the job. Another waited the full two weeks and was advised they were not successful.

After the form I got the link for stage two around 24hours later.

I Went jeans and Tshirt, but went to all other assessments in a suit. I was the same thinking as you, the suit being overkill. Maybe go half way and trousers/shirt, no tie.

On the day, around 2-3 hours. It goes pretty quick and around 45mins of that is waiting to see a doctor at the end. It takes so long as all info needs to be recorded on forms etc. If you meant how long are they valid for, I think it's 3 years but I may be wrong.

For Abellio GA it's around £25000 with Sunday's outside the working week. Shifts vary from mornings to afternoons to nights. It's a 24 hour operation. 8 weeks on, 2 weeks off. You get the occasional rest day during the 8 weeks also. Scope to work rest days and Sunday's to increase pay packet...

Honesty is the best policy. They will almost certainly take a urine sample. When I had my medical the letter asked for me to bring all current medication with me. Before I gave the sample they took details of any medication or supplements I was taking. Hope this helps.

Possibly also add performing various movements, as requested. Things like putting your arms out and rolling your head/neck.

Got through with a score of 60. Was reassured in the interview that I JUST made it. I think it's a combination of your previous railway work experience and working in safety critical roles elsewhere. Distance from depot counts too. Most that I know got around the 64 mark so 71 is amazing!

Thanks for the info. All received at Southeastern's end :) You're right, it's just a waiting game now. Doesn't make it any easier but at least now I know I'm in with a shot.

I got the same message as you Junior (qualifications match...current/future vacancies) and mine submitted first time.

You are asked what the number is. You don't get suggestions as to what the number might be.

If you have a second pair, bring them with you as they will test you with both pairs.

For the MDD interview, I was also asked about why I hadn't followed the career I had started on/studied for and how I would cope with (mostly) night work. Also how you found out about the job/role and why it interested you enough to apply.
