I noticed this in platform announcements on Wednesday, at Leeds, Carlisle & Doncaster. After announcing the xx.xx to yyyy is running 10 minutes late, this is due to zzz. I heard late running preceding train or unable to join (2 x 5car Azumas on Skipton train)
Sheffield station is not ideally placed to suit shoppers or people looking for social meeting purposes (Other than The Tap!).
I would think Shirebrook, Cresswell & Whitwell punters are likely more attracted to Meadowhall!

The original concept was that there would be 2 HS2 ‘sets‘ coupled together potentially splitting to serve 2 destinations. As no platforms have been constructed as yet on HS2 & most trains will now run on existing lines has any consideration been given to train lengths?

For 2 return services per day & being faster than East Midlands Railway I.e. 2 hours then it’s only likely one unit will be required. One return journey AM, and another PM. Diesel to Retford & electric to Kings Cross, changeover in platform at Retford.
With the expansion of the ULEZ zone today, if this applied to the railway & diesel engines were banned within the ULEZ zone which services would be affected?
