I like Fort William. It's got everything you need. Yes it's formal, and reminds me of a mini Euston, but for me it's the focal point of the town, and always has a flow of people through it, even when there are no trains due. Least favourite for me. Cartsdyke has very little going for it...

Why doesn't the HS2 route near the Northern end have a link in to the Cross Country route? A simple junction at Tamworth or Lichfield would provide High Speed services to Sheffield and Derby.
