London North Eastern Railway (LNER) First Class service

I think that adverts to "book a seat in this service up to 10 minutes before departure" when staff on board already know there's a set change and the entire train will not have reservations may count. These occur fairly frequently. Staff have told me there's nothing they can do about these...

Trivia: Free bus routes that still exist today.

I don't think they fund nearly as many as they used to. Ironically, the Halifax one they used to fund would now be far more useful - it used to be a short walk from the bus station to the supermarket, the two ends of the route,, but since the redesign of the bus station it's about 3 times as...

Trivia: tickets that can *ONLY* be CCST

Good to know. I'll rephrase that to "when I tried a while ago I couldn't find any sites that would offer it as an e-ticket" (I was trying to buy a ticket for 2 family members and wanted to just be able to send them the e-ticket. I ended up buying 2 advances for a similar price once I could be...

Free Bus Travel for young people: Soon to be in England.

If operators in the scheme are being paid to carry children for free, are they allowed to charge them?

    National express West Midlands

With the section of TfL that deals with buses being London Bus Services Limited. The control I said they don't have? Councils own 80% of the shares in NCT with Transdev owning the rest. It typically pays a dividend.

Are Paper Bus Timetables still in your area?

Is it an upcoming change? Or should it split and have an X51 or X53 continuing?

    National express West Midlands

In Edinburgh, yes, at the moment. First did have quite a large presence there. In Nottingham, NCT are the largest operator, but many services are run by trentbarton as well as a handful of small operators. I lived there for 4 years before you could get bus passes valid on more than one bus...
