    I think his answers were quite disingenuous actually - the way to accelerate training is just him spinning the absence of DOO from the course (which of course they can’t deliver, one of the reasons for the delay). As for the point about capacity at Wandsworth (not for this thread really!) -...

    There’s definitely something about the seat profile that makes sitting side by side quite uncomfortable - it’s as though the backs aren’t quite wide enough so you spill onto the seat next door. And yes - zero leg room if a bay has four in it.

    Not sure whoever specified curtains for first class thought through the presence of the emergency hopper window - not sure it’ll open with them in place! (They really need a bottom track too but that would make things even worse!)

    It’s not about height in itself, it’s more about how your height is distributed between your lower body (base of spine to kneecap is the key measurement) and torso. This is why some people well over six foot have no problem, and others just can’t fit.

    These are fixed formation units, is unlikely that they will ever be remarshalled into a unit with any other number.

    Had my first ride on one of these today - sat in one of the window bays with the mini table. I found it the build out of the window pillars tight on the shoulder - which pushed me into the seat space next to me. Don’t think it would be at all comfortable sitting there with another passenger sat...
