    London Midland disruption

??? Look again. I think you are confusing me for someone else. I do NOT represent LM with my views, only my personal opinion. And yes actually, In my personal opinion LM DO maintain the 150s, and they still break down ridiculously often. So there you go. Edit. Actually It seems its not...

    London Midland disruption

that sounds like a simple misunderstanding with the guard trying to simplify things. (Though, obviously you were there not me) I can say thats definitely not true. I would say its more that those 150s just wont stay fixed. That is true. I will admit its frustrating to be serving...

Commuters baffled as Southeastern train is diverted through train wash

No, his post clearly expressed the view that it was the ONLY alternative. Not that it was acceptable or otherwise, which is irreverent if there are no other options.

Commuters baffled as Southeastern train is diverted through train wash

Agreed. Things go wrong with anything and everything, thats this universe. Things break. For some reason the railway is inexplicably expected to be immune.

Commuters baffled as Southeastern train is diverted through train wash

What do you think they should do? Don't just say things like "Oh well thats up to them to sort out" or "run the service". No glib answers, what's the solution? Other than what they did? Explain how the TOC is to blame for signalling issues, they should just tell their drivers to plow on though...

+Frozen doors! Things can break down when its not cold too.

    Railcard minimum fares

I would say yes. Because the YP discount is subject to the minimum fare before 10. Therefore it is the discount that is invalid and that invalidates the ticket. In the same way as having a YP discount but no rail-card invalidates the ticket even if you are traveling in the correct off peak times

    Embarking/disembarking Improvements...?

    Discounted Tickets

I *believe* the police get free travel on LM, so long as they agree to step in and help sort out any trouble.

    London Midland Class 150s

When the displays say its due to a train failure, it does not always actually mean THAT train has failed. E.g If a train fails at Rowley and blocks the line, subsequent trains might be altered, they will often simply put "due to train failure" for simplicity. Therefore the train you saw...

    Losing tickets

Actually it is the same thing. A ticket has a face value that when issued must be paid for by the issuing office to other TOCs under the accountancy procedures of RSP. In both examples you are expecting to receive an item that has cost the company money to 'buy'.That IS the same thing. In the...

    Class 172 Production Progress

Sadly I cannot seem to muster the same enthusiasm for the potential of having a cement mixer pass by my booking office every 10 mins. :(

Blimey I hope thats down to the mic in the camera. Sounds like a airplane taking off.

    Class 172 Production Progress

Actually its a move I agree with. The reasoning is that on the 150s the seats are 3/2 in a row. The middle seat of which no one EVER uses (except for bags). So I have always thought we should just do away with them. So the number of people standing wont increase, they just have more room to stand :D
