yes - twice. I got an email in late November saying I was unsuccesfull as an internal candidate - they had withdrawn the position I think ( cant really remember ) and then one another one last week saying the same.
Sorry to say but as its Northern your're dealing with I wouldnt hold your breath. Quite a few people I know have been unceremoniously ejected from the talent pool with little explanation as to why. Lets hope you get the job though. Was the training for this one due to start mid February ( IIRC )
I was talking to a rail recruiter a while ago who stated catagorically that people being ejected from talent or holding pool is quite common and he did not seem at all supprised. Whether you get an offer may depend on the location you have applied for. If it is a large metroploitan depot/station...
yes, me. CTM said at my interview, " dont worry about the time length, things move slowly in the rail industry. We've just taken on someone who has been waiting 3 years "
Don't be fooled. The talent pool DOES NOT guarantee you a post in the future. You may well have passed all the assesments and interview criteria required by the TOC and shown you have the skills needed. An internal applicant(s) may well have been given the post(s) and you (in the talent pool)...
Dont forget Grand Central that run out of Sunderland. I think they have been recruiting through an agancy lately. Is Sunderland one bridge too far though ???????:lol:
i did think about it and thats why i posted. not being able to touch your toes doesnt stop you doing the tasks that you mentioned. only asked because i have conductors applications in but ive never been able to touch my toes.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
