    PlusBus Tickets

Another issue with GWR's implementation, is that if you have a return on a different date it offers PlusBus options for both days but doesn't show the date each relates too: Also if a railcard was included in the search, but then Advance tickets were selected (so railcard not applied) then...

    Contactless Reading to Heathrow

I had guessed the National Rail data was likely wrong, but poor that the official National Rail website is misleading customers, most of which wouldn't know any better than to trust it. I've also just noticed that after 16:00 it stops offering Contactless fares, looking at BRfares it's because...

    Contactless Reading to Heathrow

Is the contactless information shown on the National Rail website correct for Reading to Heathrow T5? Or like with the recent Reading to Gatwick example, is this another data inaccuracy? TfL Single Fare Finder has the off-peak as £16.60 and includes "Fares shown do not include travel on Gatwick...

    Special Offers Discussion

My understanding is that every month you can select the category for that month.

    Special Offers Discussion

I've recently noticed on PayPal you can select one category per month to get 3% cashback on purchases, one of which is ground transport. This works for Uber and is in addition to their own cashback for ticket purchases (10% for Uber One or 5% otherwise). They offer up to £15 cashback per month.

    Delay Repay Letter

I wonder if XC had other data points which flagged these claims, causing them to review the photos in more detail. Based on the awarded amounts, these seem to be a full pay out of an Off Peak and First Class Anytime Returns, so would need to be a 2 hour + delay. XC may be worried that some...

    Commuter knew better than apps

Hence my suggestion/query on using routing rather than occupancy, as that would have changed the CIS several mins sooner. If occupancy has to be used, could you design the system to default to platform 4 for a train booked for the Main but running on the Relief and change again to Platform 5 if...

    Commuter knew better than apps

Another last minute platform change for 1P92 at Maidenhead today (the original train that sparked this thread). It only platform altered on CIS and the National Rail app once it was in the platform berth (as shown on OTT). However there are 7 signal berths before that which would have indicated...

    Commuter knew better than apps

I've had similar issues to the OP with similar Didcot to Paddington trains but at Tilehurst. On the rare occasions it's switched unplanned from the relief to fasts the CIS doesn't update, not even just before arrival. The last junction to crossover is 15 mins beforehand. Once I've spotted on...

GWR on diversion Euston (EUS) to Ealing Broadway (EAL)

That's probably because the timetabled Swindon/Didcot to Ealing Broadway GWR trains are all terminating at Reading due to a 'planning error'. "Due to a planning error for the possession/isolation at Acton West, we cannot run our stopping services past Reading."...

Given a transport for wales penalty fare for forgetting my indate railcard. What should i do?

Might it be a multi-TOC revenue block or similar at New St, with TfW staff present, hence being issued by them?

Wrong use of contactless on Reading to Waterloo

Yesterday it was only a few trains at the start and end of service that had Reading as a passenger call, so most of the day Contactless wouldn't have been valid. However my mate used Contactless fine on one of the trains starting at Reading. The guard accepted without issue and staff at Euston...

    GWR Delay Repay

I've had 5 claims this month and found the response time depends on the complexity. Those with a single eTicket have been approved within a couple of days, those using split tickets have taken up to a fortnight to approve. I'm guessing that the split ticket ones need a manual review, hence the...

    GWR to use Euston
