From what I've seen one of those three things is exactly what is being suggested, which is why assuming things is dangerous.

Indeed, but if you go to the NR Rover page and search for (say) Hull Trains, you'll find only the All Line and bizarrely the East Midlands Rover, but *not* any of the other rovers that cover their area. Equally the North East rover states that it is valid on Lumo, but not Grand Central or Hull...

And the result: rover accepted on Hull Trains without any comment.

I've just noticed that Lumo *are* on the list for the North East rover, Grand Central on the West Yorkshire Daysaver, and Hull Trains are on the list for the East Midlands Rover. So clear as mud then!

That would be my thinking, but the map specifically contradicts it. Lumo from Newcastle to Morpeth would theoretically be valid as well.

Is the above 4 in 8 Rover valid on Hull Trains? If you go to the NR page for the rover, they are not on the list of TOCs, but if you go to the map it clearly says "valid on all TOCs on the map". Actually, I've noticed that GC aren't on the list either. So are the OAOs included? NR page

Just a thought, but is route knowledge of Allington N Jc to Allington W Jc involved? There's one train a day each way that avoids Grantham (early morning Notts-Skeg and late evening Skeg-Notts) but on Saturdays the morning train terminates at Sleaford and the evening train doesn't run, so...
